If you’ve ever glued your fingers together with a superglue, you’ll love a
new adhesive developed by scientists at Sandia National Laboratories in New
Mexico. The super-strength epoxy is monstrously strong at room temperature, but
crank up the heat to 90掳C and the glue will liquefy, making it easy to snap
glued items apart. Temperatures of 90 to 130掳C cause bonds between the glue
molecules to break. The military wants the glue to make weapons that can be
assembled and disassembled in the field.
