Four bombs exploded last week outside facilities owned by BioChem Pharma, the
Canadian company that developed the anti-HIV drug 3TC. Staff at the sites in
Montreal and Laval were evacuated. There is speculation that antivivisectionists
may be involved. If so, this would be the first time a Canadian pharmaceuticals
company has been targeted.
