The US Coast Guard has flown over Hawaii鈥檚 Mauna Loa volcano, which started erupting on 27 November for the first time since 1984.
The eruption of the world鈥檚 largest active volcano began in Moku鈥櫮亀eoweo, the summit caldera, and has moved into the north-east rift zone. Erupting fissure fountains and lava flows are visible, but there is currently no threat to nearby communities.
