Coffee-table books full of stunning photographs of African wildlife are
hardly unusual, but Chris Harvey’s photographs in Beyond the Endless Mopane
(Swan Hill, £25, ISBN 1 85310 730 1) are exceptional. Subtitled “A
photographic safari through Livingstone’s Africa”, it is an evocative portrait
of one of Africa’s last great wildernesses.
