Countries need to coordinate climate action, says former UK adviser

Climate agreements between countries should now focus on coordinated action rather than yet more targets for cutting emissions, a former adviser to the UK government told an audience at New Å®ÉúСÊÓÆµ Live on 8 October.

“Every man and his dog has a net-zero target now,” says a senior fellow at the non-profit World Resources Institute, tells New Å®ÉúСÊÓÆµ. “We’ve agreed that, so what’s next?”

For Sharpe, the answer is that smaller groups of nations should be working together…
