To make all the projects in our 10-week maker series, you鈥檙e going to need some supplies. They shouldn鈥檛 be expensive, and some you might have lying around already.

Week 2: Electric candle

鈥� a DC motor (with a voltage range you can use with your 9-volt battery; for example covers 1 to 18 volts)

Week 6: Magic eight ball
鈥� a micro:bit board
You鈥檒l be programming this with your computer, so it鈥檚 worth that comes with the USB cable you need, and a battery to power the device when it鈥檚 not attached to your computer
听
Week 7: Theremin
If you鈥檝e collected the parts for the previous projects, you should have everything you need for this.
听
Week 8: Sound-sensitive disco ball
鈥� 2 x continuous rotation servos (we鈥檒l only need one for the disco ball, but we鈥檒l need the second one for the next project. Best to get a matching pair. )
鈥� a sound sensor (ones that say 鈥溾�� or similar are good)
鈥� Optional: micro:bit edge connector (like , or )

Week 9: 听Rubbish sweeper

鈥� to hold听 4xAA batteries
鈥� either a small robot chassis (we used ) or something lightweight you can attach wheels to and use instead 鈥� an old CD case, for example

Week 10: Biscuit bot
鈥� 2 x line sensors (again, any that say 鈥溾�� should work)
