US Army has made a plastic bandage that swells to patch wounds

It鈥檚 hard to patch up a bleeding wound. If it鈥檚 not on a limb, a tourniquet won鈥檛 help, gauze doesn鈥檛 absorb enough blood, and many blood clotting agents can leave residue behind, resulting in potentially dangerous side effects. A new material that鈥檚 bendable, easy to apply and remove, and incredibly absorbent may help fix that.
