Remembering to watch a TV programme after seeing a trailer can be tricky. But the British company Pace Microsystems has patented a solution (EP 1326438). Broadcasters routinely bury subtitles in TV signals. Now Pace wants them to use the same system to transmit the time and channel of any programme being trailed. The viewer simply presses a button on a remote control to download the data to the video recorder, which then records the programme.
