False teeth are normally held in place by adhesives, but sometimes they work
loose, much to the embarrassment of the wearer. Delta Investments on the Isle of
Man has a neat solution (GB 2353952). Powerful rare-earth magnets are embedded
in the teeth, with the poles positioned so that the upper and lower dentures
repel. There are more magnets at the rear of the dentures than the front, giving
a stronger repulsion. This force helps keep the false teeth firmly in place to
avoid embarrassment while eating.
