Storing wet umbrellas is a pain, says Yoan Tang of Taipei in GB 2 319 958.
Shaking the brolly just spreads the mess, he says. Tang’s new umbrella can be
deliberately forced inside out, by pushing the sliding hub past a latch. The
inside-out brolly then forms a large reservoir, which collects all the water
from the top surface. The water can then be tipped down a drain.
