The first sheep cloned from an adult cell is pregnant. Dolly mated naturally
with a Welsh mountain sheep. 鈥淲e鈥檙e not giving details about when she mated or
when the happy event is due, to shield her from media intrusion,鈥� says Harry
Griffin, assistant director at the Roslin Institute near Edinburgh. He says that
the objective is to allay fears that clones would be infertile.
