WITH barely a week to go before the British general election, the straw
poll on http://www.ge97.co.uk is showing a comfortable Labour lead of 16 per
cent. Of course, opinion polls can be wrong. The nerd poll almost completely
ignores the female vote. About 90 per cent of those taking part in it have been
men.
