The idea of creating Faraday centres to bridge the ‘innovation gap’
between industry and academia in Britain has received widespread support,
says the final report of the Prince of Wales’s Working Group on Innovation
published this week. ‘The concept of flows of technology and talented people
is seen as the key,’ it says.

‘Each centre will become a recognised centre of excellence and a ‘skills
bank’ for companies,’ the report continues.
