Britain and France are setting up a series of high-level specialist
workshops to identify areas for future scientific collaboration. The groups
are the fruits of a meeting of scientists and science advisers from the
two countries held last week at the Royal Society.
The meeting focused on areas such as new materials and 鈥榗lean鈥 technologies,
and on multinational projects such as Eureka. The workshops will investigate
priorities for human genome research and satellite observation.
